February 2024 Practical Distraction

Happy Leap Year!

And just like that, we are at the end of February. Once again, this month flew by and spring is on the horizon. I'm looking forward to longer (and hopefully warmer!) days ahead, in addition to leaves on the trees, flowers, and all the growth that comes with spring.

With spring just around the corner, I've been trying to bring in flowers + a fresh vibe everywhere to usher in the warmer weather. This month I have a few fun things to share that are inspiring me, as I await spring with open arms!

Patti

Create Your Own Gorgeous Floral Arrangements on a Budget

A while back I saw a tutorial on how to use flowers from Trader Joe's to create beautiful, high-end arrangements. I was so inspired, as I love flower arranging but sometimes take a basic approach. Since then, I've been seeking out more and more tips to make my own unique and elevated bouquets at home, and I found an article with great ideas.

In this post, The Happy Happy Nester outlines exactly what flowers (including the estimated costs!) you need to create stunning DIY floral arrangements.

How to Clean Your Bag

Have you seen my previous post with handbag cleaning tips? It is not to be missed! Most bag cleaning guides only focus on cleaning the leather/outside of a handbag ... but my method includes the inside of your bag!

Satisfy your spring cleaning urges and freshen up your handbag!

Oh, and if you have a few extra minutes ... definitely check out the videos at the end of the post!

My New Cocktail Obsession: The Beauty Elixir

I stumbled upon this cocktail recipe, which was originally created by a bar in L.A. I've adjusted it slightly from the original recipe, but find it to be just as good as the original.

To me, it signals warmer days ahead, and features hydrating fruit that make me feel slightly less guilty about imbibing.
